ISP Random Drug Inspection

Good Afternoon,

Today, in conjunction with the Illinois State Police, we conducted a random drug dog search of the hallways and parking lots at the JH/HS facility. The school maintained a lock down, while the search was being conducted, to prevent any students from interacting with the dogs. These searches are done randomly and are done in order to maintain a safe and drug free environment for our students. Waverly CUSD #6 will continue to work with local law enforcement in this ongoing effort to protect our kids and minimize the risk for illegal substances in our schools. Student safety is and always will be our top priority at Waverly.
